page fault in nonpaged area error

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error

I got this error after the files had loaded. At the bottom of the blue screen: STOP: 0x00000050(0x85D1C000, 0x00000001, 0x8BC3DDDD, 0x00000000)
My system is a P4 3.4 MSI P4N SLI MB, 1GB 667MHz DDR2, 200GB WD HDD...I attemtped this install on a brand new, blank HDD...DO I need to partition and format it first?? Thanks to all in advance

Hi,
No, you don't need to partition and format first. The error is from a driver file, either one is needed that isn't there, or one being used is not fully Vista-capable. I would start by disabling any non-essential onboard devices and removing unneeded peripherals.
